Members of the Rush Springs Middle School drama club planned, produced and performed a scene adapted from a classic novel in one hour with some help from the USAO theatre arts department this month.

Six USAO theatre arts students were honored for scholarship and contributions to the university theatre as they were inducted in April into the Alpha Psi Omega chapter at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

CHICKASHA -- With more than 75 sculptures gracing the campuses of 30 universities, Jon Hair is bringing his artistic mastery to Oklahoma to capture the likeness of “Oklahoma treasure” Te Ata Fisher in monumental bronze on the campus of the University of Science and Arts.

The University of Science and Arts is sponsoring a six day, five night art and theatre tour to New York City that is planned for May 14 through May 19, 2013.

Six USAO students were honored for scholarship and service as they were inducted on April 9 into the Alpha Psi Omega chapter at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

With a hint of spring chill in the morning air, more than 2200 people flocked to the USAO campus for the Spring Triad on April 5. Students from 74 high schools across Oklahoma visited Chickasha.

Every year, the university produces a new issue of the USAO Magazine to let our many friends and supporters know about this institution’s 108-year legacy and what our students, faculty, alumni and staff are doing to extend it into the future.

This year’s theme is Giving Back and it is chocked full of interesting articles, video features and slideshows that demonstrate all the ways that giving back impact the people around us.
