Neil Gaiman is a writer whose body of work includes award-winning comics, graphic novels, short fiction, novels and screenplays. Gaiman got his start in journalism but found his first successes writing comics including his most-celebrated work on The Sandman. Gaiman’s career as a novelist took off with American Gods (2000), which won numerous awards including a Hugo for Best Novel. His follow-up book, Anansi Boys (2005) debuted at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list. Gaiman is a highly sought-after public speaker and a new media celebrity.

Come be a part of USAO tradition! Droverstock Music Festival is the university’s annual music festival featuring live music, inflatables, local and area vendors and a host of college students having a great time. Droverstock takes place in the oval, the heart of USAO. Droverstock is a free event for USAO students.

A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who writes frequently about environmental science, Dan Fagin is also a science journalism professor at New York University. His book, Toms River: A Story of Science and Salvation,was recently awarded the 2014 Pulitzer for General Nonfiction. Dan’s recent publications include The New York Times, Scientific American, Nature and Slate.
