Transfer Admissions

We are committed to making the transition process as simple as possible for all students who want to transfer to USAO.

If you are considering a possible transfer to USAO we would like to invite you on campus to see for yourself what we can offer you. Set-up a customized tour with our Transfer Counselor.

You are considered a transfer if you have attempted more than 6 credit hours of college work, excluding “0-level” courses and pre-college work. If you have a 2.0 GPA in your college work and are in good standing with the institution, you can be accepted.

There are two categories of transfer student:

CATEGORY A

Students who have taken 6-23 hours of college credit.

If this is you, these are the steps to follow:

  1. Fill out our online application
  2. Send us an/all official college transcript(s)
  3. Send us a high school transcript and ACT score

CATEGORY B

Students who have completed 24 or more hours of college credit.

If this is you, these are the steps to follow.

  1. Fill out our online application
  2. Send us an/all official college transcript(s)

Once we have all the documents you will be contacted by an admissions counselor regarding your next steps.

If you do not meet the above admissions requirements or you have questions, please contact your admissions counselor Molly Tracy by phone; 405-574-1367 or by email to discuss your options.

Note: A maximum of 62 credit hours of junior college coursework may count toward the completion of your degree at USAO.

Students who hold associate in arts, associate in science or baccalaureate degrees and who transferred from an accredited Oklahoma college will be considered by USAO as having met all lower-division general education requirements.
