Innovations 2015 awards young Oklahoma artists for excellence

More than 110 students faced off recently at Innovations, an annual high school art competition held at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Students from high schools around the state competed in the art competition held exclusively for high school juniors and seniors.

Fine arts candidate, graduates present senior show Fuse

Bachelor of fine arts candidates, present and past, will come together to exhibit work in a spring senior art show titled Fuse.

An opening reception is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on March 28 in the Nesbitt Gallery in Davis Hall.

The event is free and open to the public.

Marble recital rescheduled for March 25

Dr. Dex Marble is ending his time at the university on a good note — actually, on several good notes.

Marble, vice president for academic affairs, will make his first extended public appearance as a pianist in a recital at 7:30 p.m. March 25 in the Alumni Chapel.

Mariachi maestre to close performing arts season March 27

America’s premiere all-female mariachi band will bring dynamic voices and tight harmonies to the stage of Te Ata Memorial Auditorium to close the 14th season of the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series (DWPAS).

Mariachi Rosas Divinas will perform in the Ballroom on March 27 at 7:30 p.m.
