Frost, Hazel 1973

After 19 years on the faculty at the Oklahoma College for Women, Hazel Frost moved to Washington and founded the Future Homemakers of America. She earned her degree here in 1918. She continued her education and joined the OCW faculty in 1923. In 1942, she was named Assistant State Supervisor of Home Economics and State Advisor of Future Homemakers of Oklahoma. She moved to Washington in 1944 to organize Future Homemakers of America and served as the organization’s first national advisor. In recent years, an Alumni Association scholarship was established in her honor by home economic students, teachers and friends.
