The campus family mourns the loss of a rare woman who lived on this campus as a child when her father was president, later graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women in 1942, was inducted to its Alumni Hall of Fame in 2001, and was serving at the time of her death on the USAO Foundation Board of Trustees.

USAO Drama to Present 'Noises Off' July 15-18

A quirky, “reality” comedy highlights the summer schedule at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, as the drama department presents “Noises Off.” The three-act play is scheduled for July 15-18 at USAO’s Davis Hall Theatre.

Admission to the play is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, and $3 for students. Performances are set for 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a special 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

New Bookstore

The campus bookstore at the University of Science and Arts has opened in new digs this summer. “It’s better, more accessible space, with lots of sunlight, new features, more insignia gift items and a great new location,” says Manager Dana Poag. The USAO Bookstore, operated by Texas Book Company, is now located at the east entrance of the USAO Student Center, at the corner of 17th and Alabama. In coming weeks, the facility will get new fabric awnings, outdoor seating and coffee service. Hours are 8-5 weekdays.

Dana Manning Received USAO alumni award

Dana Manning of Lindsay received the USAO Alumni Association’s Distinguished Graduate award on July 30 at summer commencement. Manning earned her bachelor of science degree in business administration and graduated cum laude from the University of Science and Arts. She is employed with Morgan Stanley of Chickasha. She finished her baccalaureate degree in three years, while working two jobs, and maintained a high grade point average. Presenting the award is Alumni President Pat Cave of Chickasha.
