Nationally known public servant Neal McCaleb was sworn in on Tuesday as the newest member of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Board of Regents.
In Washington, McCaleb was appointed by President George Bush to head the Bureau of Indian Affairs as assistant secretary of the Interior. He also served eight years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and with the Chickasaw Tribe as a banking official. He was appointed to the USAO Board by Gov. Brad Henry and confirmed by the Oklahoma Senate on May 23.
