Word has been received of the death of N'Keigh Diane Hodges, 28, Lawton. Graveside service was held on Thursday. Ms. Hodges died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, in Lawton. Arrangements were under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. She was born Nov. 24, 1978, in Amarillo, Texas. She attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, where she received a bachelor of arts in history.
The memorial service for Nina H. Campbell, 100 year-old Enid resident, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lorenzo Dunsford will officiate and participate with his family. Nina was born Sept. 11, 1908, in Shattuck, Ellis County, Okla., to Oscar and Mildred (Black) Helton and died Sept. 2, 2009. Following her graduation from Shattuck High School with the class of 1926, she attended Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, in 1929 with a degree in physical education.
Funeral service for Naomi Lou Anderson, age 76 of Cyril, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in the Cyril First Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Echols will officiate. Naomi was born on April 7, 1932. She died on September 2, 2008, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Naomi grew up in eastern Oklahoma. In 1951, she attended Oklahoma State University where she met and married Raymond Anderson in 1952. They moved to Dumas, Texas in 1958 and in 1972 they moved to Cyril.
Graveside service for Nancy Louise (Kern) Bawden, 86, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Grace Lawn Cemetery, Edmond, Oklahoma. NANCY LOUISE (KERN) BAWDEN was born March 14, 1923 in Verden, Oklahoma the daughter of John Newell and Lucy Flora (Wantland) Kern. She died October 18, 2009 in Chickasha. Mrs. Bawden lived in the Verden and Chickasha areas most her life. She also had lived in Houston. She attended OCW. Mrs. Bawden worked at USAO as administrative assistant to the vice president of administrative affairs for 11 years.
CLARKS Nancy I. Ficken, 65, of Clarks died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Ralph Supernaw officiating. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Ms. Ficken was born Oct. 25, 1942, at Enid, Okla., to Alfred R. and Thelma I. (Diedrich) Ficken. Survivors of the immediate family include her parents of Clarks; and a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Ronald Miller of Clarks.
Funeral services for Mozelle Sampson, 91, of Stillwater, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday in the Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha. Mozelle Sampson was born Aug. 3, 1917, in Cement, the daughter of Stanley and Mattie (Luton) Armstrong. She died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at her home in Stillwater. She grew up near Cement and southwest of Chickasha. She attended and graduated from Pioneer Public Schools in 1935. Mozelle married Blanchard Sampson on Sept. 17, 1937. They were blessed with five children, Phil, Mary Anne, Gary, David and Kent.
Kathryn Brand Mozelle, known by many as Monker, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. She was 90 years young. Mozelle was born in Naples, Oklahoma, on January 27, 1919, to Pauline O. and William L. Keyes. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women. In 1945 Mozelle married the love of her life Joseph K. Brand in El Reno, Oklahoma. From this union they had 2 daughters, Paula and Kathy. Mozelle was always devoted to her family, placing each member's needs above her own. She always had a positive outlook on life showing both strength and compassion to all that she met.
Mita Ann Minnett Ehn, 78, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in Arlington after a courageous battle with vascular dementia. Memorial service: 1p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Sevier Funeral Home, 702 W. Chickasha Ave., in Chickasha, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104, or the Alzheimer's Association. She was born in Chickasha, OK, on Oct. 30, 1931, to Henry and Norma Collins Minnett.
NOBLE -- Funeral for Mildred Odell Graham, 85, Noble, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha. Mrs. Graham died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in Noble. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. She was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Waurika, to Franklin Burl and Eula Alta Doggett Smith. She graduated from OCW, now University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Chickasha. She lived in Lawton from 1948 until 2007. She taught school at Woodrow Wilson Elementary.
Iowa Park Mildred Marie (Stogsdill) Parkey, 93, of Iowa Park, Texas, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, in Iowa Park. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park. Alvis Edmondson of Arlington, Texas, will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park. Mildred was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, June 10, 1915, to James Robert and Maria (Funk) Stogsdill. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women obtaining a Bachelors Degree.
