Lund, Margabel (Marge) 83, went to be with the Lord April 23, 2008. Marge was born on January 28, 1925, in Lawton, OK. She received her teaching degree from the Oklahoma College for Women and worked as a Physical Education teacher in Lawton. In 1949 she moved to Tulsa and obtained her Masters degree from the University of Tulsa. She worked for Tulsa Public Schools as a teacher at Horace Mann and Roosevelt Junior High Schools and a counselor at Byrd Elementary. She retired in 1984 and received many awards throughout her teaching career.

Marcy Belew Funeral services and interment for former Seminole resident Marcy (Marcelene) Hill Belew were held on Monday at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas. Marcy, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. Marcy was born to Walter and Laura Lorena Hill in Bristow, Okla., and was raised in Seminole. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Okla., studying piano and organ. Marcy received numerous national piano competition honors.

COOK, Madonna R. (Stewart)

Madonna Rosemary Cook, age 89, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away August 29, 2008, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. Madonna was born March 2, 1919, in Crossroads, Delaware County, Indiana, to Crystal and Claude Stewart. Madonna moved to Clinton, Oklahoma, from Indiana at the age of 8, where she graduated from high school. She then attended Oklahoma College for Women, now USAO, for two years. She transferred to the University of Oklahoma after meeting and eventually marrying Max Cook, a law student at the University of Oklahoma.

M. Elizabeth Roddy Stanford, 95, died June 3, 2007, at SunBridge Care Center, Nampa. Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the First Congregational Church in Nampa (55 S. Midland Blvd.), with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Yarbrough to officiate. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa; 466-3545. Beth Stanford was born March 26, 1912, in Caldwell, where she attended Caldwell schools.

Lynn R. O'Daniel, age 59, died July 23, 2008 of cardiac arrest after a long battle with multiple myloma cancer. Lynn was the son of Howard and Viola O'Daniel and was born and reared in Minco, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts with a Business degree. He was a Veteran with the Oklahoma Air National Guard, 137th Unit. He worked for over 30 years for Emery Air Freight and its affiliates. He lived in Dallas but spent most of his time and energy at his home on Piney Woods Lake near Frankston. An avid and gifted gardner he was President- Elect of the Anderson Co.

Bowers, Lucile Monroe Lucile Monroe Bowers Funeral service for Lucile Monroe Bowers, age 94 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in the First Christian Church of Chickasha. Rev. Michael Oberlender will officiate. Lucile was born the daughter of Edgar Carter Monroe and Mattie Roberts Monroe on January 21, 1914, in Dexter, Texas. She died on July 30, 2008, in Oklahoma City. On May 23, 1936, she married Woodrow Bowers. He preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Bowers graduated from Amber High School in 1930.

Cannella, Louise V.” Louise V. Cannella, 96, Green Bay, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at a local nursing home. She was born Nov. 4, 1911, in Oklahoma City, to the late Jay and Mabel (Woods) Perkins. She was a graduate of Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Okla. While in college, she worked for the Southwestern Oklahoma Electric Company. Prior to marriage, Louise was a supervisor for the Oklahoma State Capital Bond Department in Oklahoma City. She later worked for the Department of Education in Oklahoma with the Central Accreditation Association in Edmond, Okla., under Governor Kerr.

Louise Shook Roberts, 85, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2009. She was born in Cogar, Oklahoma, to Sam and Ina (Payton) Shook. Louise was amazingly accomplished: a Methodist preacher's wife for over 40 years, attended Oklahoma College for Women, a graduate of Oklahoma City University and the University of Central Oklahoma, a school teacher at Jackson Middle School for 19 years, Sunday School Teacher and United Methodist Women member for over 60 years. A wife for over 65 years, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved her family heritage.

MOTT, Louise P. (Hendrix)

Louise Park Hendrix Mott, age 85, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at her home in Albuquerque. She was born November 5, 1922 at home in Idabel, OK to Joe and Esther Hendrix. Louise graduated from Idabel Gray High school and Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, OK in 1944. She worked for several years at the Naval Ammunition Depot in McAlester, OK. She then moved to Albuquerque where she had a civil service job at Sandia Base. In 1965 she flew to Izmir, Turkey where she married Lt. Col. Maurice Kent Mott who was serving in the Air Force.

HAMPTON, CT - LOUISE (JARVIS) OLIVER, 79, passed away peacefully on February 14th, due to complications from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Born in Chillicothe, Texas, she was the seventh of nine children of George Henry and Lillah (Moore) Jarvis.
