Leticia Ingram, 87, of Bremerton Jan. 12, 1922 to Jan. 12, 2009 Leticia (Tica) Ingram was born to teach and she was one of the best and a favorite. As a Rhodes scholar, she studied in England before getting her undergraduate degree from the Oklahoma College for Women. She then earned her master's in mathematics. She was born and raised in Costa Rica. It was there she met her future husband, LeRoy (Roy) Ingram, while both were teaching at an InterAmerican School.
Lena Evelyn (Render) Richardson was born November 13, 1928 in Eldorado, Oklahoma and passed this life on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in the Hardeman County Memorial Hospital, Quanah, Texas. Lena Evelyn was the fourth child born to James Olin ôChumö and Lena Leslie (Gardner) Render. She was the only one who survived to adulthood. A 1946 graduate of Eldorado High School, Lena Evelyn attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and Oklahoma A & M University in Stillwater.
Lee Roy Decker, age 70, of Mead, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be at Streetman Road Baptist Church, Mead, at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2008, with the Rev. Darren Wallace officiating, assisted by the Rev. Buddy Hunt. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. He was born on May 23, 1937, in Stillwater, the son of Roy E. and Hazel (Paxton) Decker. He married Barbara Burnett on Aug.
Funeral for Leah C. Kephart, 85, Lawton, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Mayer, pastor, and Andrew Yeager, vicar, officiating. Mrs. Kephart died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, in a local hospital. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 17, 1922, in Indiahoma , to Alexander and Rosina Nitschke Neugebauer. She married Earl Kephart in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Dec. 2, 1940. He died March 10,1960.
LaJunta June Chastain Jewell, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at her home in Guthrie. Memorial service was to be at 10 a.m. today in Faith Bible Church in Edmond with the Rev. Dr. Mark Hitchcock officiating. Committal prayers and interment will be at 2 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa. She was born July 27, 1925, in Sand Springs, the daughter of Ernest and Jewell Hale Chastain. She married Robert Conrad Jewell in July of 1945. They were married 55 years when he preceded her in death May 19, 2000. They made their home in Duncan, where her husband was affiliated with Halliburton.
Lahoma Jean (Crabtree) Mueller, 75, entered this life on October 3, 1934 born to W.O Tedö and Evelyn (Grimes) Crabtree in Wayne, Oklahoma and entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at St. Anthony Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jean grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma where she attended Shawnee Schools until her senior year. Her family moved to Purcell in 1951 where she graduated high school. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics.
The sounds of the USAO ShowBand and the smell of spaghetti will fill the Old Mill Restaurant in Blanchard as the group holds a fundraiser March 6 from 6-9 p.m. to raise funds for a trip to Nashville to record a CD. A portion of the proceeds will go to the ShowBand's trip. The restaurant is located on Highway 76 across from the rodeo grounds.
