The Turkey Classic is a fundraiser basketball game of USAO Students vs. USAO Faculty and Staff - a game that will be fought to the death! Okay, okay, not to the death… But it will be fun! Bring $2 or TWO CANNED FOOD ITEMS to get in!
All proceeds will be given to local food banks at The First Baptist Church of Chickasha, Southern Oaks Church of Christ, as well as The Salvation Army.

Dr. Stephen Weber captures the powerful and wildly creative music of master composer Henry Cowell during Monday night’s Festival of Arts and Ideas at the University of Science and Arts. Tuesday’s event begins at 7:30 in the USAO Ballroom.
Tonight is the last night of the Festival of Arts and Ideas, bringing together diverse musical styles and a scholarly panel of USAO faculty: Dr. John Bruce in literature, Dr. Sean Kelley in physical education, Dr. Stephen Breerwood in art, and Dr. Dex Marble, a historian. They will discuss Creativity Across the Disciplines.
The University of Science and Arts is sponsoring a 6 day, 5 night Art and Theatre tour to New York City that is planned for June 14-19, 2011. The tour will be led by emeritus faculty member Roger Drummond and Jacquelyn Knapp, associate professor of art.
Taking a walking tour at the University of Pennsylvania this month, Dr. Kevin Crow of USAO takes a break between sessions at the national Byzantine Studies Conference. Crow joined the USAO faculty in 2005.
Dr. Kevin H. Crow recently served as chair for “Converts and Conversion,” a session at the Annual Byzantine Studies Conference.
An associate professor of history at the University of Science and Arts (USAO), Crow was the only Oklahoma scholar in attendance at the 36th Annual Byzantine Studies Conference that was held at the University of Philadelphia from Oct 8-10.
