Willis C. Worley, Jr., a long-time business and civic force in the Waurika and Jefferson County communities, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home in Waurika.
Willis, 75, was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Waurika. He was the eldest of three sons born to Florence (Mitchell) and Willis C. Worley. Funeral service for Mr. Worley was held Saturday, March 5, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika, with Rev. Rusty Stowe officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.

Oneice Johns passed away on Sunday, March 06, 2011, in Lawton. She was born Grace Oneice Gayle, on Sept. 1, 1925, near Marlow, youngest child and only daughter of John Roscoe Gayle Sr. and Rosie Mae Owens Gayle. She attended school and graduated Valedictorian of the 1942 class at Central High School. She attended Cameron Junior College. During the years of WWII, she began her career as professional educator.
Mrs. Mildred Ozelle McCullough, a longtime resident of the Meridian community peacefully passed away Saturday morning, April 9, 2011 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 81. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the Comanche First Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Ninnekah Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday.

Mary Elizabeth Emerson (Libby) of Plano passed peacefully into her Heavenly Father's arms on March 18, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born on August 2, 1920 in Ft. Gibson, OK at the family home-place. After graduating from high school, Libby attended Oklahoma College for Women before going to work for Braniff Airlines. She loved traveling, and visited all but one of the continents of the world. After the death of her first husband, Capt. William Ross Badgett, II, she moved with her two children to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she was employed as a travel agent.
Louise Jackson died March 25, 2011, at the age of 96. Louise Isabel Massey was born Nov. 5, 1914, in the town of Massey, Pittsburg County, Canadien Province, in the state of Oklahoma. Her father was Edmund N. Massey, half Choctaw Indian, and her mother was Halley Pace, Cherokee. Louise was one of seven children in the family including Juanita, Bob, Oliver, Fred, and Mark and Hoyt. The Masseys lived on a farm where they grew cotton and vegetables, and raised milk cows, pigs, and chickens. They were self-reliant and either grew or raised most of what they needed.
Lorene Russell of Mountain View, OK, passed away in her home on Monday, March 7, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1929, to C. E. and Lora Zimmerman at the Zimmerman home in the Pecan Community near Carnegie, Oklahoma. Lorene graduated from Sedan High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was married to Robert Russell on March 28, 1948, and they began their almost 63 years of marriage together.
