Funeral service for William Earl Miller (Bill), 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. He was born in St. Louis, MO on October 23, 1929 to Charles I. Miller and Rose (Colodesch) Miller. He passed away in Chickasha on June 12, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Bill attended Chickasha Public Schools, graduating in 1947. He was active in tennis and Boy Scouts, where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Bill attended Washington University in St. Louis and graduated in 1951 with a degree in business.
Services for Edna A. Hambleton Graham 91, Tulsa, formerly of Ada, are 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rollow Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Ada, the Rev. David Daniel will officiate. Mrs. Graham died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at a Tulsa care center. She was born Jan. 3, 1920 at Edna, Kan. to Ernest A. and Josie Rhodes Hambleton. Her father was employed with Carter Oil Company and each time a new field opened in Oklahoma, the family would move. Consequently, she attended 10 different schools prior to the familys move to Fittstown in 1935.
Simpson, Betty Harter Betty Harter Simpson passed away on June 15, 2011, at St. Catherine's Village in Madison, MS, where she had been a resident the past 5 years. She was born Betty Ellen Harter in Enid, OK, on June 23, 1916, to parents, Jim and Ruth Harter. She was a graduate of Enid High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women. Betty moved to Dallas in 1952 with her husband, Dale, who passed away in 2006. They enjoyed a married life exceeding 66 years. She was a homemaker who raised two sons; Richard Simpson of Rockwall, TX, and Douglas Simpson (wife Judy) of Jackson, MS.
Anita Rue Lang passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 in Richardson, TX where she relocated at retirement in 1980. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Milton Bulloch of Richardson, TX; two granddaughters, Ellen Anita Aldrich and Danna Kathryn Halsey and her husband Stephen Halsey; as well as five great grandchildren, Kathryn and Grayson Aldrich and Trey, Rachel and Jack Halsey, all of Dallas. A granddaughter, Charlene Mendoza lives in Georgetown, TX with great grandchildren, twins Madison and Jacquelyn Mendoza.
