Madness is about to set in

CHICKASHA – Basketball fans itching to see the start of the college season don’t have to wait long as the Drovers kick off basketball season on Tuesday night — as always with total Madness.

Drover Madness is USAO’s annual pep rally that serves as an unofficial start for the basketball season. This year, the fun-filled event will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in USAO Fieldhouse.

Dancers get ready for another season

CHICKASHA – Back again for another year, the Drover Dancers are gearing up for what’s going to be an exciting season.

“We have a lot of talented, spirited girls this year,” Coach Emily Hector said.

Much like last season, the Drover Dancers plan to perform during halftimes and on the sidelines. This year, the Dancers also will have dances corresponding with some of the basketball game themes.

Drovers earn SAC title early

CHICKASHA – With two games left in the regular season, the Drover men earned their seventh regular season conference title.

It is the Drovers seventh conference title and their fifth Sooner Athletic Conference championship.

“It is a tough conference with quality programs everywhere,” head coach Jimmy Hampton said. “To be SAC champions is a tremendous honor and is a reflection of the hard work put in by our USAO athletes.”
