Drovers overtake the Storm

CHICKASHA – In their last regular season home game, the Drover men came in with a ninth conference win to continue undefeated in the Sooner Athletic Conference with the shutout of Southern Nazarene on Tuesday afternoon.

The Drovers fought a tough battle but spent most of the game on the attack, outshooting their opponents 30-7. USAO, however, had a hard time finding the net until Perry Sansford scored in the 70th minute of the game. Chris Lee had the assist in that play.

Drover women struggle against the Storm

CHICKASHA – The Drover women had a tough time against the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm, who remain undefeated in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

After giving up two quick goals, the Drovers responded with two goals in eight minutes to tie to the game before halftime. Both goals were by Calli Cooper and Taylor Fain earned her 30th career assist on one of those.

Unfortunately for USAO, Southern Nazarene squeaked by another goal to defeat the Drovers 3-2.

The women move to 12-4 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
