In 2005, USAO (Oklahoma's only public liberal arts college in Chickasha, Oklahoma) was ranked the top public baccalaureate undergraduate college in the Western United States by U.S. News and World Report for the fifth year in a row. According to U.S. News, a college's academic reputation is critical. Also considered is selectivity in accepting freshmen, faculty resources, curriculum rigor, graduation retention rates, alumni giving, graduation rates, and financial resources such as student scholarships and endowment programs.
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – For the first time in school history, both Drover soccer teams have made it into the 2011 NAIA Soccer National Championship Opening Round, and USAO is offering a chance to watch them both in action right in Chickasha.
In the women’s first trip to nationals, they drew No. 4 Point Loma Nazarene, based out of San Diego, Calif. The Drovers kick off at 1 p.m. central standard time on Saturday.
CHICKASHA – Early in the season, the outlook for the Drover men’s basketball team is positive, especially in the eyes of junior Graham Faulkner.
“It’s been going well. We’ve been working hard ever since we’ve gotten here at school,” Faulkner said. “Also, just when you’ve got good guys with talent that work that hard, a lot of good things will happen.”
