CHICKASHA – The Drover baseball team opened at home with a bang. And then another.
In a home opening series, the Drovers ran over the Friends University Falcons, winning the first game 16-3 and the second 7-4 on Sunday afternoon.
Junior Eddie Cervantes made his first appearance on the mound at Bill Smith Ballpark, pitching the first four innings of the doubleheader. He didn’t give up a single hit during the 14 batters he faced and threw three strikeouts.
Artist and educator Steve Brown joins an elite list of 100 printmakers whose work is being exhibited across the country as part of East/West: A Survey of Contemporary Printmaking. Brown’s print, titled “Skyline Park: Truman Presidential Library” is a digitally-manipulated photograph inspired by Oklahoma’s stormy weather.
A print created by Steve Brown, professor of art at the University of Science and Arts, has been included in a printmaking exhibit and portfolio traveling the United States.
USAO Drover Difference Day will allow students to volunteer throughout the Chickasha Community. Students will reflect on their service experience and provide feedback about what they learned all while helping out the community!
