Drovers come from behind, outscore Rangers late

Date Published:

CHICKASHA – The last 20 minutes were what mattered on Saturday afternoon at the USAO Fieldhouse as the USAO men mounted an unbelieveable come back over Northwestern Oklahoma State.

The Drover men entered halftime down by 16 points to the conference foes. But they came back a completely different team, cutting the deficit to two in just seven minutes.

The Drovers took the lead for the first time in the game with just two minutes left in regulation when senior Kyle Hunt dunked the ball off an assist by Graham Faulkner.

DII Southwestern too much for Drovers

Date Published:

CHICKASHA – Thursday’s baseball games went to the dogs. The Bulldogs, that is.

The Drovers could not overcome the NCAA Division II Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs in the Thursday afternoon doubleheader at Bill Smith Ballpark.

Two strong hits — a home run and single RBI double — by Southwestern in the top of the fourth gave the Bulldogs a two run lead.

Shutting them out for the next three innings, left fielder Jared Coon scored USAO’s only run off an RBI by third baseman Heath Wilda in the bottom of the seventh.
