The USAO Concert Choir is scheduled to present a diverse collection of music spanning from the Renaissance to the present day at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the USAO Chapel.

Mascot Tryouts Informational Meeting

Interested in being Dusty the Drover? Think you might be interested in being Dusty the Drover? Come to the informational meeting and see! The meeting will be at noon in Station 82. You'll get details on expectations, scholarships (yes, money is involved!) and everything else!

USAO Vocal Jazz ensemble keeps it casual

The USAO Vocal Jazz Ensemble is scheduled to perform a casual concert at 1:30 p.m. this Friday in the Terrace Room, located next to the ballroom on the second floor of the Student Services building.

Softball overcome deficits, sweep Evangels

CHICKASHA – The Drovers grabbed the sweep over Mid-America Christian Evangels on Tuesday afternoon, winning both games in comeback victories.

Sophomore pitcher Neesha Sorrell started off game one throwing three swinging strikeouts. She threw three more strikeouts before the Drovers gave up a run in the sixth inning off a strong double. Sorrell threw two more strikeouts to end the inning.

Graveside service for Larry D. Boyd, 62, Sulphur, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Faxon Cemetery, Faxon, with Kenny Palmer officiating. Larry passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Sulphur. Arrangements are by Hales Krien Funeral Home. Larry was born May 14, 1949, to George I. and Thelma Pierce Boyd, in Grandfield. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded in action on Jan. 13, 1968. Larry later retired from the military. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from U.S.A.O.

Elsie Marie Fletcher Mason Funeral for Elsie Marie Fletcher Mason, 73, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Roger Alford, the Rev. Leodis Strong and the Rev. Ruth Holmes officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Fort Sill Post Cemetery, where she will join her late husband, Willie Mason. She died Monday, March 12, 2012, in Lawton. Elsie Marie Fletcher was born Nov. 14, 1938, in Chickasha, to Theodore and Gertrude Glasker Fletcher. She attended Lincoln School in Chickasha and graduated as salutatorian of her class in May 1956.

Graduating artists' work covers the 'spectrum'

Five senior art students are taking the last step toward graduation as they prepare the final exhibition of their work at the University of Science and Arts.

An opening reception is scheduled at 7 p.m. on March 31 in the USAO Art Gallery. The event is free, open to the public and refreshments will be provided.
