The first Thursday in April always means one thing at USAO- The Spring Triad. The day when the science and the arts in our name come alive as thousands of students from all across the state descend upon Chickasha to show off their academic and artistic talents while taking in some great music and fun in the process.
Roberta Boone (Hutson) "Bobbie" Wilson died on March 12, 2012, at the age of 81 after suffering a stroke. She was in Tucson, Ariz., with her husband of 61 years at her side. Bobbie was born on Oct. 3, 1930, in Hobart, Okla., the daughter of Kathryn (Boon) Hutson and Percy Hutson. After graduating from Chickasha High School, she attended the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha for two years, leaving to work for the local newspaper. She married her high-school sweetheart, James Allison Wilson (Jim) of Chickasha, Okla., on Oct. 12, 1950.
CHICKASHA – Now already halfway through the baseball season, the Drovers have faced some tough Sooner Athletic Conference opponents, but catcher Blake Taylor isn’t worried about the next four weeks.
“It’s just time to start playing ball and winning games like we know how we can do,” Taylor said. “The tougher of our schedule is behind us so we’re looking forward to the rest of the season and winning some games.”
Playing as a youngster, Taylor bounced around positions before finding his natural fit behind the plate.
