Matt Watson is a senior economics major deeply immersed in student life on the USAO campus. He is currently involved in Student Government, USAO Ambassadors, Student Activities Board Dance Committee and the Phi Lambda Chi Fraternity.
Dr. Lee Hester, associate professor of American Indian studies at USAO, shared research on cultivating traditional corn stock recently as a featured guest on Native America Calling, a nationally syndicated call-in talk radio program.
Traditional corn growing techniques were the subject of discussion on the national radio program Native America Calling on February 28, spurred by research that originated at the University of Science and Arts.

CHICKASHA – Giving up just one hit in two shutouts, senior Liz Agpalo was named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week.
Agpalo pitched two complete games this week, earning a career first no-hitter against Benedictine College. She threw seven strikeouts in that game and was a hit batsman away from a perfect game. The Drovers went on to win that game 8-0 in five innings.
