More than 200 musicians from 10 area schools are scheduled to meet Friday on the campus of the University of Science and Arts for the Great Plains Honor Band festival.
A total of 23 first-year students were initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta March 27 at the University of Science and Arts. ALD is a national scholastic honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first year students. Exceptional first year students at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma were honored March 27 as they were initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta -- a national honor society for college freshmen.
CHICKASHA – Coach Brisco McPherson has announced the dates for his 26th annual summer basketball camp.
Campers have two options – a day camp for students ages 12-16 and a mini camp for students ages 6-11. The day camp will be June 4-8. There are two dates for the mini camp, and campers can attend June 4-8 or June 25-29.
The day camp, which includes lunch, is $110. The mini camp is $60.
Campers will be given a camp T-shirt and awards will be given to players at each age level in a variety of categories.
