2013: Crow joined the Drovers mid-season, competing in two races for USAO. He reached his personal best for 8-kilometer in the NAIA Mid-States Classic, finishing in 30:28.31. That time puts him fourth in school history. His other race, the OBU Invitational, was completed in 31:57.00. He was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for his effort at races and in the classroom.
CHICKASHA – After four years of running up and down the basketball court, senior Tabby Bailey has turned her efforts to running longer distances. Bailey joined the USAO cross country team, which is in its first year.
“I ran cross country in high school and I really liked it then so I felt like this was another opportunity for me to shine,” she said.
Bailey, who ran a 22:19 five-kilometer race earlier this month, said she expects the whole team to continue to improve as a result of tough speed work and endurances exercises in practice.
CHICKASHA – It’s been 40 years of blood, sweat and tears. Forty years of struggles and forty years of success. Forty years of Shining Moments.
USAO will celebrate its 40th Anniversary of Drover Athletics in first weekend of November. Registration, which is just $65 for a weekend full of events, is open currently, but prices will increase in less than two weeks. The deadline for early bird registration is Sept. 30.
