2012-13: In her first season at USAO, Ngom started in all but three games. She led the team in assists with 85 and steals with 43 for the season. Additionally, she came in second on the team in rebounds, collecting 163 in all. She scored 146 points total, including 12 each against Southwestern Christian and highly-ranked Oklahoma City. She had a season-high seven assists in a November contest at Arlington Baptist.

2011-12: Ngom played guard two seasons at Redlands Community College in El Reno.

All Drover men improve 8K times

CHICKASHA – All five of the USAO men’s cross country runners who competed in Saturday’s Oklahoma Baptist Invitational improved their eight-kilometer times, one by as much as five minutes.

While all the runners had personal-best 8K times, senior Chisum Lane knocked more than five minutes — or a minute per mile — off his time from last week. He finished the race in 33:37.00.

Aaron Manuel, a junior from Sapulpa, also saw a major improvement, cutting nearly three and a half minutes off his finish time, setting a personal record of 33:55.00.

Drover women continue to improve time, set records

CHICKASHA – Four of the five USAO women’s cross country runners posted their best five-kilometer time in a meet at Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday.

Junior Brittni Kent beat her own school record, finishing the race with a sub 20 minute time. Cutting more than 30 seconds off her record, which she set just last week, Kent posted a time of 19:35.00. She finished the race 21st of 101 competitors.

Nesbitt Gallery- Artist's Reception: Paintings by Paul Walsh

The Nesbitt Gallery opens the second show of its 2012-13 season with an exhibition of Oklahoma artist Paul Walsh’s paintings with an artist’s reception beginning at 7 p.m. on Oct. 13.

Drovers plan to Pink Out Cancer on Tuesday

CHICKASHA – For the second year in a row, Drover soccer has teamed up with Drovers Against Cancer to bring fans the Pink Out Cancer soccer game, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

For the game, which will be against Mid-America Christian, both men’s and women’s soccer teams will don pink uniforms in an effort to raise awareness. Kick off for the men is at 2 p.m., and the women will follow at 4 p.m.

Fans from both teams are encouraged to wear pink as a collective whole against the terrible disease.
