Drovers dominate All-SAC selections

CHICKASHA – Going undefeated with 10 shutouts, the Drover men practically swept the 2012 All-Sooner Athletic Conference selections.

Perry Sansford was named the SAC’s Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Scott Parkinson earned Defensive Player of the Year and Bryan Byars was named Goalkeeper of the Year.

Coach Jimmy Hampton earned conference Coach of the Year. It is his fourth conference Coach of the Year award and third for the men.

Five Drovers named All-Conference

CHICKASHA – Five Drover women were named All-Sooner Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon.

Freshman Linda Addo and senior Calli Cooper were named All-Conference First Team forwards while senior Taylor Fain was named n All-Conference First Team defender.

Senior Jordyn Yates and freshman Ryah Vyse were named All-Conference Second Team.

“I’m very pleased to see our players represented on the All-Conference list,” Coach Jimmy Hampton said. “Taylor Fain, Calli Cooper and Jordyn Yates have had great careers here, and they will be missed!”


USAO is hosting the Opening Round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Tournament!

Drovers to host Grand View in NAIA Opening Round

CHICKASHA – The Drovers have the opportunity to host the Opening Round of the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Tournament, taking on Grand View Vikings at 7 p.m. Saturday on Hampton Field at Chickasha High School.

“I am excited for USAO to get to host. We are hoping to see 1,500 Drover fans out at the game,” said USAO Coach Jimmy Hampton, who is also the namesake of the CHS soccer field. “I appreciate the support of Chickasha schools to let us use their facilities and am extremely excited for Chickasha, as there is no better place in Oklahoma!”
