CHICKASHA – In their first 8-kilometer race of the season, the Drover men came out looking to tackle a hilly course against stiff competition, racing among 153 competitors at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday in Stillwater.
The Drovers, who have now completed three races this season, ran a 4-mile and a 6-kilometer race this season. The Jamboree was their first 8-kilometer, which translates to nearly five miles. The race attracts runners from all over the area, including schools in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.
CHICKASHA – Just two meets into the 2013 cross country season and runners on both the men’s and the women’s team continue to improve their times. Captain Deborah Park, a sophomore on the squad, said the season is off to a great start.
“The season is going really, really well. It was quite a challenge last year. It was my first semester in school and in cross country,” Park said. “After first semester, I’ve learned so much … so we are really improving on how to practice and what’s good for us.”
2013-14: Cooper played in four games for the Drovers in her freshman season. Her stand out game was a November contest against Langston University, where she scored a season-high 12 points and had 11 rebounds. In that same game, she also had three assists.
High School: Cooper was named Academic All-District two years while attending Frenship High School in Texas.

2013-14: Jozan played in the season opener before sustaining a season-ending knee injury.
2012-13: Jozan played one season as post at New Mexico Junior College.
High School: At Lajos Kossuth Secondary School in Hungary, Jozan was one of the best players on her team and helped lead them to the National Championship. She also helped her club teams earn similar honors.

2013-14: Worcester joined the Drovers in mid-November and quickly became one of the starters. For the season, she scored 59 points and collected 50 rebounds. Also, she had 12 steals and 18 assists. One of her best games of the season was a double-overtime game in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. In that game, she matched a season-high nine points while reaching personal highs in rebounds (7) and assists (3).
2012-13: Worcester played two seasons of USAO soccer before joining the basketball team.
