SHAWNEE – The Drovers were looking for way to come out and show their might after an almost two week hiatus, and the Drovers got a much needed win on the road Friday night in Shawnee.

The Drovers (4-3, 1-0) controlled the game from the beginning whistle and never looked back, taking the conference opener on the road with a 3-0 win against Oklahoma Baptist.

The win gives Coach Jimmy Hampton career win number 199. He will look for this 200th win in a Tuesday home game against Wayland Baptist.

CHICKASHA – Just two meets into the 2013 cross country season and runners on both the men’s and the women’s team continue to improve their times. Captain Deborah Park, a sophomore on the squad, said the season is off to a great start.

“The season is going really, really well. It was quite a challenge last year. It was my first semester in school and in cross country,” Park said. “After first semester, I’ve learned so much … so we are really improving on how to practice and what’s good for us.”
