BETHANY – The Drovers came in to their second meet to improve on their times from the previous meet and they did just that on Saturday morning at the OCU Fall Classic.

With each runner improving on the first meet’s time, it was first time runner for the Drovers Robert Dupoint, who had the best for the team in Saturdays 6-kilometer race.

Dupoint came in with a time of 21:55.38, which was good enough for a sixth place finish at the Fall Classic.

CHICKASHA – Much like 2012, the Drover women have gotten off to a rough start, but also like last season, the Drovers know they’re more talented than their record indicates. No one should write USAO off just yet, said junior Jade Ovendale.

“It started off a little shaky. It’s been a tough start to the season, but every game we’ve been improving,” she said. “I feel like when we get to the conference, we will get some more wins … if the team just sticks together, we will get there.”

Ovendale said that improving the team chemistry is key to the Drovers success this season.
