CHICKASHA – In just its second season, the cross country team at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is looking to continue to improve and build on last year’s performance.
“One of the biggest goals is just to be better than we were last year. We are still trying to build, and we are still trying to get strong runners in so we can really begin competing,” said Leandra Johnson, men’s and women’s cross country head coach. “We are looking for improve from last year.”
The Drovers began their season at the UCO Land Run on Sept. 7.

CHICKASHA – Heading into their first meet of the 2013 season, Coach Leandra Johnson and the Drover cross country teams are ready to represent the university in the sport in its second year.
“I think the season is going to be alright. We’ve been practicing for about a week now,” Johnson said. “I think we will get better. We are going to be a little better than we did last year and that’s going to be our goal each year is to get better than the year before.”
