CHICKASHA – Even though the Drover men were only three strong, they each had a great meet personally on Saturday afternoon at the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan., setting career and season records.

Since only three runners competed for USAO, they did not qualify for a team score.

Matthew Crow, who ran in 2012-13 but joined the Drovers this year mid-season, set a career best by finishing the 8-kilometer race in 30:28.31. That time was nearly a minute faster than his personal best set last season and is good for third place in school history for fastest 8K.

CHICKASHA – The Drovers had no trouble against Southwestern Christian on Saturday afternoon, dominating the Eagles 6-0 thanks in part to a Jade Ovendale first-half hat trick.

It was the Drovers (4-9, 3-4) second conference shutout of the week, having toppled Mid-America Christian 3-0 on Tuesday.

The game was delayed 45 minutes due to rain and lightning in the Chickasha area, but within five minutes of kick off, Ovendale got the Drovers on the board off an assist by Megan Kettlewell.
