CHICKASHA– The Drovers started off a weekend at the Saint Gregory’s Turkey Classic with a 86-81 win over McPherson College on Friday evening.
The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (2-4) will return to the court on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. against No. 24 Our Lady of the Lake.
With four players in double figures for the Drovers, it was USAO’s game from the time they took the lead with 17 minutes left in the second half. The team built up a 15-point lead and the defense kept a hold on the game by keeping the Bulldogs to 38 percent shooting in the half.
CHICKASHA– The Drovers went into the exhibition match looking for a win against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Monday evening. Even with the valiant effort given during the whole game, USAO drops the match 75-76.
With it being a regular season game for UCO, the Drovers (1-4) held the lead for the majority of the game before the Bronchos grabbed the lead for good at the 6:21 mark in second half.
CHICKASHA– The Drovers despite having five players scoring in double digits ended with an 80-62 loss at the hands of Langston University on Saturday evening.
The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (1-2 was led by true freshman Kylie Parker, who had 15 points and on the strength of 4-for-14 shooting. Three of those shots came from behind the three-point line.
MARSHALL, Mo. – The Vikings snapped an 11-game winning streak for the Drovers in a double overtime battle that literally went down to the final seconds in the 2013 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round on Saturday night.
The No. 11 University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (15-5) fell to No. 20 Missouri Valley College (13-4-4) 2-1 in the second overtime with 13.2 seconds remaining on the clock. It was USAO’s fifth straight trip to the Opening Round.
