USAO blacks out the Knights

CHICKASHA – The Drover women took their second in back-to-back home conference wins in a Thursday night victory over Northwood University (Texas).
 
The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (3-4, 2-2) continued to battle the entire 40 minutes in order to remain on top, securing the 59-53 victory. The Knights (7-7, 0-4) joined the Sooner Athletic Conference this season.

Northwood led nearly the entire first half, but when the Drovers took their final lead with 12 minutes left in the game, they refused to give it up.

Drovers grab 100, defeat the Knights

CHICKASHA – The Drovers continued Sooner Athletic Conference action with a season-high 100 points scored in a 100-88 home win over new SAC opponent Northwood University (Texas).

In the Thursday night game at the USAO Fieldhouse, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (5-6, 2-2) defeated the Knights (1-8, 0-4) in a game that saw big leads by both teams.

Drovers dominate the Cavaliers

CHICKASHA – The Drover women came out on fire on Saturday afternoon determined to grab an important Sooner Athletic Conference win against Saint Gregory’s.

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (2-4, 1-2) earned its first conference victory, dominating the Cavaliers (1-8, 0-3) with a final score of 81-55.

The game appeared to be the Drovers’ from tip off. Shooting 50 percent in the first half, the Drovers led 41-24 after the 20 minutes. In that half, the Cavs send USAO to the charity stripe 17 times.

No. 19 proves too much for USAO

CHICKASHA – Coming off a big win on Thursday over a ranked team, the Drovers were unable to maintain that momentum facing another Top 25 opponent, No. 19 Saint Gregory’s.

In the Saturday evening game, the Cavaliers (11-1, 2-1) outscored the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma 97-79 in the Drovers’ first conference home game.

The Drovers (4-6, 1-2) had three players scoring in the double digits in the game, led by Jahseth Lloyd, who had 24 points and seven rebounds. This is Lloyd’s second game in a row with at least 20 points.

Drovers hand first loss to No. 7 John Brown

CHICKASHA – The Drovers opened up the New Year with a 20-point upset over the No. 7 team in the country, conference foe John Brown.

On the road in a second Sooner Athletic Conference game of the season, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma secured a 79-59 in Arkansas on Thursday evening.

The game was the Golden Eagles’ (11-1, 1-1) first loss of the 2013-14 campaign and got the Drovers (4-5, 1-1) one game closer to the .500 mark on the year.

Drovers shoot well in loss to No.17 JBU

CHICKASHA – Going into 2014, the Drover women were trying to look for a Sooner Athletic Conference win, but fell at No. 17 John Brown on Thursday evening.

USAO (1-4, 0-2) dropped a 63-48 decision despite having two Drovers in double figures and after shooting 44 percent in the second half.

Senior Rashelle Carr led the team with 20 points and in assists with two in the game. She grabbed five rebounds to round out the night for the Drovers.
