Last second rally comes up short

SHAWNEE – With a big second-half from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma ended up falling short in the last second as the Drovers dropped on the road at Oklahoma Baptist.

The Drovers (8-10, 5-6) had a 41-point second half to get the game within one score, but the Bison maintained their 70-68 edge on Saturday.

Leading scorer for the Drovers was Jahseth Lloyd, who continues his 18-plus point streak with 24 points on 8-for-18 shooting on the night. He went 8-for-9 at the free throw line and had 12 rebounds to give him this third double-double of the season.

A tough battle against No. 5 OBU

SHAWNEE– Coming into the game, the Drovers expected a tough battle against NAIA No. 5 Oklahoma Baptist and were unable to overcome the powerful team, falling 69-54 in Shawnee on Saturday.

University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (3-11, 2-9) fell in the first of two regular season match ups against conference rival Oklahoma Baptist Bison, who extended their winning streak to 12.

The Drovers had three players in double figures with the leading scorer being senior Paige Pulliam, who had 11 points with 33 percent shooting from the field. She also had seven rebounds.
