Every graduating senior has an exit exam or exit portfolio that meets the graduation requirement.
The Assessment Office keeps lists of all completed exams.
If you do not test in the Assessment Center, you must ask your advisor to inform the Assessment Office of completion of your exit requirement.
The Assessment Office will then assure that the Registrar’s office has been informed of the completion of that requirement.
What is the purpose of an exit exam or portfolio?
The exit exam asks questions based upon the course work required for the major. The responses to the questions provide the professors and department heads specific information regarding the success of USAO courses.
For example, a significant number of incorrect responses may indicate a program or course change is required.
Portfolios provide: examples of work accomplished, major field information regarding the progress of the student from entry to graduation, and program information that may be used in the future.
