Joe Evans has been the registrar and director of enrollment and records at USAO since 1999. He received his master's and bachelor's degrees in psychology from the University of Georgia.
Evans has more than 20 years experience in private and public universities in enrollment management, admissions and academic records. Prior to coming to Chickasha, he served as vice president, registrar, associate director of admissions and assistant professor of psychology at Phillips University.
He worked for four years as a faculty member of the U.S. Air Force Academy in the Department of Behavioral Science and Leadership. While at the Academy, he completed the Executive Development Training Program -- a year-long program that is the Air Force's equivalent to a graduate degree.
Evans also served in recruiting and management roles in the U.S. Air Force Recruiting Service for 12 years including deputy director of recruiting operations, national chief of enlisted recruiting management, chief of analysis and market research division, senior executive officer for Air Force recruiting in three states and chief of recruiting operations for two states.
He is a past president of the Oklahoma Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. He has also been a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the Southern Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, a life member of the Retired Officers' Association and a life member of the Air Force Association.
Kay Adkinson has been a member of the Registrar's Office team since 1979. Kay has been honored for her service at USAO by receiving several Staff Achievement Awards -- including being named the Employee of the Year in 2002.
During her more than 30 years of service to the college, she has crossed paths with nearly every student enrolled during that time as part of the enrollment process, graduation procedure or after graduation when alums need copies of their transcripts.
