Nancy Hughes is the Dean of Students at USAO. She has been a part of the USAO staff since 2007.
Nancy has more than 17 years of experience in the field of mental health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Tulsa and her Master of Science in Psychology from Memphis State University. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma in 1997. Her previous experience includes working with individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, abuse, self esteem issues and drug and alcohol related issues.
Nancy is a part of the Student Services team at USAO. The USAO Student Services Office is responsible for housing, career services, counseling services, disability services, health services, orientation, recreation, student development and security.
Catelyn Perry is from Altus, OK and is the Director of Counseling, Disability and Career Services at USAO. She became a part of the USAO staff in 2013.
Catelyn received her Associate of Arts in Psychology from Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, OK and Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Chemical and Alcohol Dependency Treatment from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. She also received her Master of Education in Community Counseling from SWOSU. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. Catelyn spent the first 2.5 years of her career working as a therapist at a group home for troubled teens in DHS custody. Her experience includes working with individuals with depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol related problems, severe emotional/ physical/sexual abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and mood disorders.
Sleeping, being with friends and family, quilting, being active in her church, and playing with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lola are some of the things she enjoys doing in her free time.
Catelyn is part of the Student Services department which is responsible for housing, career services, counseling services, disability services, health services, orientation, recreation, student development and security.
Dr. Steele is an educational psychologist whose primary areas of interest include student success, academic behaviors, learning strategies, intrapersonal skills, motivation, and the undergraduate experience. She has published and presented on a variety of topics related to higher education. In her current position, Dr. Steele collaborates with students and faculty to increase student academic success and enhance retention efforts. In conjunction with her role as Academic Resource Counselor/ University Retention, Dr. Steele teaches an IDS course on college achievement and learning management. As an alum, Dr. Steele is a long-time dedicated member of the USAO community and is a fervent supporter of the university's unique mission.

Roland Nuñez is the Director of Student Development at USAO. He joined the USAO staff in June 2012.
After working for two years as a Resident Advisor then a Resident Director in his undergraduate career, he chose to pursue a Master's degree in Student Affairs. During this time, he worked as a Graduate Assistant at Oklahoma State University's Campus Life Programs.
Roland has many hobbies ranging from the sciences (aviation, meteorology, zoology) to the arts (theatre, writing, composing). He is a licensed pilot and a published author.
Chris Basco is the Director of Health Services at USAO and serves as the Athletic Trainer. He has been a member of the USAO staff since 2010.
