ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT

The English Proficiency Requirement must be met for Admission to Teacher Education.  The English Proficiency requirement can be met in one of the following ways:

• Candidates can complete Writing I and Writing II, or equivalent courses, with A's and/or B's.

OR

• Candidates can earn an acceptable score on the writing portion of the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET).

OR

• Candidates can earn an acceptable score on the writing portion of the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST).

OR

• Candidates can earn an acceptale score on the CAAP Essay test (see USAO Assessment Director).
