“I’m a creative person. The arts have always been appealing to me and when it came to choosing a college, I knew liberal arts was the way I wanted to go. USAO won my heart over. No boring curriculum, no being in debt, plus I’m close to home; my choice was obvious.”


Art major Heather Heck is on the honor roll and is part of the USAO Ambassadors, Gay Straight Alliance and Art Club.

“My mind has been overwhelmed with the amount of learning I’ve done since being here, but I’m happy to be fulfilled educationally. My first year here has been a whirlwind of new experiences and emotions, but now I feel prepared; for my life now and for the possibilities in my future.”

“I’ve surrounded myself with a diverse group of friends that have contributed to my growth as a college student bound for the real world. The people I’ve met here have helped me deal with the difficulties of leaving Tulsa and I’ve begun to accept Chickasha as my new home.”
