June 9 – June 27 “Children’s Zoo”
An exhibit designed especially for children. The artwork is all displayed at a kindergarden through forth grade eye-level. Displayed are a wide range of interesting and unusual art work that children will find fascinating.
July 7 – August 9 “Past Seven-State Purchase Award Winners”
The “Purchase Awards” are among the most coveted prizes offered in the Seven-State Biennial competition held in the Nesbitt Gallery at USAO. This exhibit highlights the “Purchase Awards” of our past Seven-State Biennials beginning in 2001.
August 25 – October 3 “24 Works on Paper”
An annual traveling exhibit of contemporary artwork that wholly focuses “paper” as an artistic medium. This outstanding exhibition is presented by Inpidual Artists of Oklahoma & Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. A reception in the Nesbitt Gallery, which is free to the public, will be on Saturday, September 6 at 6 pm.
October 11 – October 31 “Thunderheads”
This exhibit will highlight the amazing artwork of Oklahoma City artist David Holland. An Artist’s Reception will take place in the Nesbitt Gallery on Saturday, October 11 at 7 pm and is free to the public.
November 7 – December 5 “Christmas Past”
For over 30 years well known artist and educator Derald Swineford created “linotype” Christmas cards for his family and friends. Come in and see these magnificent works of art that span the late 1940s through the early 80s. A reception will take place during the USAO Homecoming Weekend (times to be announced).
All exhibits are free and open to the public.
