EWING, N.J. -- Helen Buckman McPeek, 93, of Ewing, died quietly in her sleep Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. Mrs. McPeek was an active member of the P.E.O. organization, which supports education.

Alma Lucille McGee, 93, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2004. Alma McGee Dotson was born in Okemah, OK on February 1, 1911 to Samuel and Sarah Ellison McGee and was one of 13 children. The McGees were an Oklahoma Territory pioneer family, and Samuel was in both Oklahoma Land Rushes.

MALONE, Royleta (Clopton)

Historian and genealogist Royleta Clopton Malone, 77, of Hemet, Calif., died on Saturday, March 12, 2005, after a brief illness and with members of her family at her side.

Royleta made a difference in the lives of many people with her dedication to family history. She unselfishly helped hundreds of relatives with her contagious love of family research.

She was born October 16, 1927, in Norman, Oklahoma, daughter of Roy Charles Clopton and Ruby Alva Whitwell. She graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women and did graduate studies in California.

LORENZEN, Evelyn J.

Evelyn J. Lorenzen, M.D. died Nov. 15, 2004, in Moore, Okla. Services will be 10 a.m. Nov. 18 at Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno with burial in El Reno Cemetery. Dr. Lorenzen was born June 2, 1921 in El Reno. She graduated from El Reno High School; attended University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha; received her Bachelor of Science from University of Oklahoma, P.H.D. in nutrition from Cornell University, M.D. from Illinois School of Medicine; and served her medical residency at New Orleans, LA.

LOONEY, Jayne Montgomery (Nash)

The campus family mourns the loss of a rare woman who lived on this campus as a child when her father was president, later graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women in 1942, was inducted to its Alumni Hall of Fame in 2001, and was serving at the time of her death on the USAO Foundation Board of Trustees.

Logsdon, Ellen Lucile -- Ellen Lucile passed away on December 27, 2004. She was born November 24, 1915 at Gracemont, Oklahoma to John P. and Lillian L. (Prater) Compton. She married F. Dale Logsdon April 17, 1938 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and graduated from Central State Teachers College in Edmond in 1937. She taught school in Grady and Jackson Counties and Anchorage, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and son, Michael. She was a member of the Oklahoma City Chapter of D.A.R. and Jefferson Davis Chapter of U.D.C.

LEAHY, Lovella

Lovella Leahy of Gainesville, Fla., died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at her home after a long illness. She was 79.

Mrs. Leahy was born in Fort Cobb, Okla. She accompanied her husband to overseas military posts in Turkey, Korea and Portugal before moving to Gainesville in 1970.

She was a popular-music singer in her younger years, having majored in vocal music at Oklahoma College for Women, where she was inducted as a lifetime member into the music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota.

Funeral for Edbert E. Keahbone, 71, Anadarko, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Redstone Baptist Church in Anadarko.
Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Keahbone died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at a Lawton hospital.
Burial will be at Memory Lane Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Robert Glen Justice, 60, of Chickasha, will be held Saturday, April 13, 1996, at 2p.m., in the Ferguson funeral home Chapel with Dr. Joe Jones o Indianapolis, Indiana, officiating.

Robert glen Justice was born November 8, 1935, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of James Robert Justice and Ruth hales Justice. He died Thursday, April 11, 1996, in Chickasha.

Glen grew up in Richmond, Virginia, where he attended and graduated from Richmond Public Schools.

He married Jeri Hagy on January 26, 1956, in Sparta, North Carolina.

JURTH, William R.

Graveside services are scheduled Jan. 13, 1999, at 1:30 p.m. in Chickasha’s Rose Hill Cemetery for engineer and artist William R. Jurth, 96, of Ridgefield, Conn. Jurth died Aug. 27, 1999, at Filosa Convalescent Center in Danbury, Conn., after a brief illness.

He and his wife, the late Florence Brown, were fond of USAO and left a sizeable portion of their estate to the university.

He was preceded in death by his wife, art teacher Florence Roberta Brown, formerly of Chickasha, who graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women (now USAO) in 1926.
