Services for Geraldine Taylor Hardy, 80, of Ada, were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 17, 2004, at the Fitzhugh Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Wilburn officiated. Burial was to follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff. Mrs. Hardy died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born April 6, 1924, at Hugo to J.B. and Annie Belle Mann Taylor. She graduated from Pioneer High School in 1941 and attended Oklahoma Womens College (now University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma) in Chickasha for two years. She married Ival Hardy May 26, 1966, at Wichita Falls, Texas. He died Jan. 27, 1994.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- A memorial service for retired educator Claribel Baird Halstead, a 1925 graduate of the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, is scheduled on April 27, 2003, at the Michigan League, which is the student center for the University of Michigan.

She died April 2, 2003, in Ann Arbor, Mich. She was 99 years old.

Claribel Buford (Baird) Halstead was one of OCW's most accomplished alumni. She taught drama at OCW before and during World War II, and was named to the USAO Alumni Hall of Fame in 1973.

Services for Roger C. Guilford of Chickasha, a student life counselor, alumnus and longtime friend of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 30t, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Frederick.

Funeral for Mary Ellen Goodman, 87, Apache, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at First United Methodist Church of Apache, Okla., with the Revs. Sarah Bodenstein, pastor, and Bud Jones officiating.
Mrs. Goodman died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, in Lawton.
Burial will be at the Goodman Family Cemetery, west of Apache, under direction of Crews Funeral Home.
She was born March 7, 1917, in Mountain View to C.E. and Georgia Malone.

Prayer service for Lucille Gatz of El Reno, Okla., will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Phil Donohoe officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Opal Mary Catherine Goodknight Garrison, age 95, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2004, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Opal Garrison was born the daughter of Fred Goodknight and Ada May Johnson Goodknight on January 2, 1909, in Neodesha, Kansas. She died on December 1, 2004, in Chickasha. Opal s father, who called her O-Pal , died when she was nine years old. her mother struggled to raise three young children until she later remarried. To this union a new sister was born.

Thomas Eugene Garrett, 69, of Oklahoma City died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle with the Rev. Bruce Christian officiating. Burial will be at Pocasset Cemetery. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle is handling arrangements.

Alta Fern Friedlander, 69, of Oklahoma City, passed away on October 22, 2004. She was born on December 16, 1934, in Ryan, OK, to Ollie L. and Thelma H. Williams. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill Friedlander, Oklahoma City; daughter and son in law Gayle and Kyle Keahey, Grapevine, TX; daughter and son in law Julie and Kenneth Kyle, Olathe, KS; and brother, Lowell Williams, Ryan, OK. She has seven beloved grandchildren: Ryan, Kevin and Beth Keahey, Grapevine, TX, and Lauren, Kelsey, Brady and Riley Kyle, Olathe, KS.

APACHE -- Services for Betty Margaret French, 62, of Chickasha, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at the Apache Reform Church in Apache with the Rev. Amon Harjo officiating. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, at the Apache Reform Church.
Mrs. French was born Jan. 26, 1941 in Lawton to Jim and May (Komardley) Killsfirst and was called home by the Lord Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005 in Norman.

Funeral service for Charles Richard Fowler, Jr., age 51, of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2004, in the First Baptist Church of Rush Springs. Charles Richard Fowler, Jr. was born April 23, 1953, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles R. (Dick) Fowler and Lois Lawson. He died Friday, May 14, 2004, at this home near Rush Springs. Mr. Fowler grew up attending the Alex Schools; he attended College at OSU and USAO. He had roughnecked in the oilfield, barned hay for area farmers, trucked and sold hay in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Kansas.
