Jo Ann (Dyatt) Pickering was born in Manhattan, Riley County, Kan., on Sept. 19, 1925, the first of two daughters to Louise Olga Dugan and Andrew Earl Dan Dyatt. Jo Ann was called home by our Heavenly Father on July 6, 2012, in Round Rock, Texas. Jo Ann was a generous soul, loved by many. Jo Ann's father, Dan Dyatt, worked as a civil engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration, which meant many moves during Jo Ann's formative years. She lived in Topeka, Kan., and Amarillo, Perryton, and Ft. Worth, Texas. Despite all these moves, Jo Ann made friends easily with each new move.
James Burk, 1931-2012 James Mack Burk, 80, of Columbia died Monday, June 4, 2012. He was a 45-year resident of Columbia. Burk Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Parker Funeral Service in Columbia. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Columbia Cemetery. James was born July 1, 1931, to John Dee Burk and Marie Kyle Burk in Muskogee, Okla. He attended public school in Muskogee, graduating from Central High School with the Class of 1949.
Iris Elaine (Graham) Mustion died on July 31, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born to Sally Wright and Reuben Graham on July 31, 1920 in Pauls Valley. Iris was the seventh of eight children. Her father was a Methodist minister and the family frequently moved during her adolescent years. She attended eleven different schools and graduated from Snyder High School in May 1938. Iris attended college at Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. After graduation in May 1942, she began her teaching career in Tipton.
Eloise Leora Elsea, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Eloise was born on April 20, 1924, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to Alfred and Leora Freeman and was youngest of nine children. It was during her years growing up in Mangum during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl that she would meet the love of her life, O.C. "Buck" Elsea, Jr., while in grade school. Eloise's college career at the Oklahoma Women’s College in Chickasha was interrupted by the start of WWII. She obtained a job as secretary in Oklahoma City for Judge Jarman and later in Washington, D.C., for Rep.
Funeral for Doris Jean McLaury, 87, Snyder, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Snyder First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Tim Richardson, Edmond, and the Rev. Jim Perkin, pastor of Snyder First United Methodist Church, officiating. Mrs. McLaury passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, in a Snyder nursing home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, under direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Snyder. Doris Jean was born Dec. 20, 1924, in Snyder, to Charles Madison and Bennie Richardson Portwood.
Cynthia Schuelke, 64, of Pearland, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 1, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Long before Cynthia was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, she was a Ground Angel for Angel Flight, an organization that furnishes transportation from the airport to the hospital for cancer victims and their families. Cynthia’s status has now changed from Ground Angel to Heavenly Angel. Cynthia was born on February 10, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Beryl and Willis Warren, both of whom preceded her in death.
Claudia Ann Mestan, 73, of Arlington died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, with her family by her side in Fort Worth. She ran her race and claimed her prize promised by our Victorious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bridgewood Church of Christ, 6516 Brentwood Stair Road, Fort Worth. Caleb Daniel Braudrick went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2012. Caleb was born on February 7, 1979, in Oklahoma City, OK to Phillip and Debra Braudrick. He is survived by his wife, Amber; his son, Ezekiel; his daughter, Emery; his mother, Debra; his father, Phillip; his two brothers, Nathan and Jeremiah; and his meemaw, Pebble. Caleb loved God and his family with all of his heart and lived a transparent life. Caleb was a brilliant man of God who had so much God-given talent.

Betty Carrier Criswell passed away April 27, 2012. She was born June 27, 1921, the only daughter of Hazel and Floyd Carrier of Carrier, Oklahoma, and granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Cherokee Strip Pioneers. She graduated from Carrier High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1938 and attended college at Oklahoma College for Women and Phillips University, majoring in music.
