Chocolate lovers who come out this Saturday night in support of the USAO Staff Association’s scholarship fundraiser could help the project earn a $500 matching gift from the USAO Foundation, it was announced Thursday. Executive Director Alan Proctor, left, confirmed the offer of $500 to match the first $500 raised by the group. Guests at the event will get to sample more than 60 delectable recipes – all created with chocolate. Tickets to “Hot Chocolate-Cool Jazz” are $10 for adults and $5 for pre-college youth at the door. The 7 p.m.

Chocolate Tasting Event Saturday

Chocolate lovers, brace yourselves. More than 60 different recipes featuring chocolate as the primary ingredient will be offered at a special tasting event that features live jazz and cash prizes this Saturday night at the University of Science and Arts.

The event is the brainchild of the USAO Staff Association and will benefit a scholarship fund administered by the USAO Foundation.

Hot Chocolate-Cool Jazz is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Aug. 14 in the USAO Ballroom.
