'Smoke' Reception Held November 4

Three USAO art seniors have joined forces to display “Smoke,” an exhibit featuring ceramics and photography in the Davis Hall Third Floor Art Gallery. The artists will be on hand Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m. for a special public reception with refreshments. Phi Alpha Delta Presents Law Symposium

CHICKASHA – The pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta is hosting a law symposium Nov. 2 at the University of Science and Arts. The event starts at 5 p.m. in the Davis Hall Amphitheater, room 224.

The event is designed to help promote continuing education programs for undergraduates interested in studying law. Special guest speakers from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City University law schools will speak about their experiences and law school application considerations. Topics also include preparation for the Law School Admissions Test.

Hypatia Honor Society Initiates 16 New Students

CHICKASHA – Sixteen college seniors are being inducted into the top honor society at the University of Science and Arts. The new Hypatia Honor Society initiates will be recognized Nov. 2 at a special luncheon highlighting the academic accomplishes of the elite group.

Library Society Lecture Features Women’s Historian Nov. 4

CHICKASHA – How did a women’s college in Mississippi influence the birth and early development of Oklahoma’s public liberal arts college?

Women’s history buffs and higher education aficionados will gather to explore the origins of the University of Science and Arts on Nov. 4. The second annual Jayne Nash Montgomery Library Society lecture series presents guest speaker Dr. Bridget Pieschel at 3 p.m. in the Nash Library, room 301.

USAO Heads to the Big Apple for Art, Theatre Tour
