CHICKASHA – Calling on community ties, the Chickasha Public School Foundation (CPSF) has established two new $500 scholarships for Chickasha high school seniors to attend the University of Science and Arts. One scholarship targets academic achievement; the other is based on financial need.

CHICKASHA – Chickasha’s premier performing arts series promises an exciting lineup at the University of Science and Arts, thanks to the support of several state and regional organizations. The university’s seventh annual Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series begins Sept. 18 with the Byron Berline Band, a bluegrass band from Guthrie.

CHICKASHA – York International is known worldwide for providing heating and air conditioning in homes and businesses, but at the University of Science and Arts, it’s known for something completely different. The company recently donated more than $60,000 worth of contemporary artwork to the USAO Art Gallery.

CHICKASHA – Local students have a unique chance to work one-on-one with one of the world’s premiere violinists at “Fiddle Fun” this summer at the University of Science and Arts. Internationally known violinist and conductor Yuval Waldman will teach the violin camp, scheduled Aug. 6-11 on the USAO campus.

CHICKASHA – A small team of public relations specialists recently showed their mettle while competing with state universities and professional advertising agencies. The University of Science and Arts’ Media and Community Relations team picked up several awards at this year’s annual Oklahoma College Public Relations Association (OCPRA) conference July 8-10.
