Free Reading Tutors Available to Kids This Summer

Free reading tutors are available this summer from the University of Science and Arts for kids who have competed kindergarten through seventh grade. The service is managed by students and faculty in the USAO Division of Education and Speech Language Pathology.

Services for Dr. Elsie Null, 93, of Chickasha are scheduled Thursday (May 6) at 1:30 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home.  Dr. Null taught for more than 38 years at this institution, spanning all three legacies -- from the World War II days at the Oklahoma College for Women, through the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts period, and into the modern University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma era.

Artscope Summer Scholarships Available Through April 30

Summer in Chickasha means one thing for local children -- Artscope. Chickasha’s premier arts camp is gearing up for a fun two weeks by offering scholarships to the community. In its 12th year, Artscope is scheduled June 14-25 on the campus of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Enrollment for the camp is now open to the public.
