Jami Smith to Perform Holiday Concert at USAO
After recording more than a dozen albums and receiving international acclaim, Chickasha native Jami Smith is scheduled to perform at the Te Ata Memorial Auditorium on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha.
Smith is an internationally recognized singer-songwriter with over 14 albums in her discography. Known for her inspirational style and themes, Smith’s holiday concert offers traditional and new Christmas works.
Smith is the latest artist featured in the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series (DWPAS) that brings top talent to the university to perform for the USAO campus community and area residents.
Dr. Kenneth Bohannon, coordinator of the DWPAS, noted that Smith is, “a highly respected musical artist who has served as an international ambassador for Oklahoma and its musicians for over 15 years.
“She is known for her warm and smooth vocal sound that appeals to a wide range of people. “
The Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series is produced by the USAO Foundation and made possible through support of local businesses including Chickasha Bank and Trust Company, Stanley Systems, The First National Bank and Trust and KOOL 105.5 Radio.
Tickets for the general public are $12 each with discounts available for seniors 60 and over, students and children under 18 and USAO faculty and staff. Group pricing is available for groups of 20 or more.
