The campus family mourns with the family of Yvonne Christian, whose husband died Sunday morning. Yvonne has been employed in USAO Food Services since 1994.


Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 for William W. Christian, age 81, in the Cyril Assembly of God Church.


Christian was born the son of Jesse Christian and Viola Mahan Christian on Nov. 13, 1922, in Geary, Oklahoma. He died on Jan. 25, 2004, in Chickasha. Bill married Yvonne Robertson on Jan. 15 1960, in Henrietta, Texas.


They moved to Cyril in 1968, where he worked for the APCO Refinery, which later became ORC, as a machinist, Bill also operated Bill’s Garage and Wrecker Service. In 1986 they moved to Chickasha, and Bill operated a macjine shop from his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two daughters, Wilma Durham and Belva Jane Lasenberry.


Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Christian; daughters, Debbie Browning and Orella Bickerstaff of Chickasha of Chickasha; sisters, Thelma Steele of Norge, Edna Mae Fleecher of Visalia, California, and Georgia Brower of Chickasha; broter Raymond Christian of Duncan; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.


Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetary. Services will be under the direction of the McRay’s Cryil Funeral Home.
