DUANE LOY November 10, 1929 - April 21, 2014 CHICKASHA Harriette Duane Colcord Loy, 84, passed away April 21 in Chickasha. Born November 10, 1929 in Tulsa to Maj. Harvey Duane Colcord and Lenore Fry Colcord, Duane grew up in Oklahoma City, where she and her brother Bill spent summer days playing in the mansion owned by their great uncle Charles Colcord. Duane and Jim Loy were married in 1946. They had three children, Jim Jr., Bob, and Dana. Survivors include husband, Jim, Bob and wife Debbie, and Dana and husband Jose Juan Colin; granddaughter Sarah Loy and family, granddaughter Taylor Ford and family, and granddaughter Mariana Colin; nieces Betty Loy, Kathy Loy, Linda Pullen, and Lee Trey; and nephew Clay Colcord. Jim Jr. died in 2002. Duane graduated from University of Science and Arts in Chickasha and earned a Master's degree from OU. She taught reading in the public schools. She coached a girls' gymnastics team and the high school tennis team, served on the boards of numerous Chickasha civic groups and owned the Duane Colcord Gallery in Chickasha and in Tulsa.
