HARDY, Geraldine (Taylor)

Services for Geraldine Taylor Hardy, 80, of Ada, were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 17, 2004, at the Fitzhugh Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Wilburn officiated. Burial was to follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.

Mrs. Hardy died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at a local hospital.

She was born April 6, 1924, at Hugo to J.B. and Annie Belle Mann Taylor. She graduated from Pioneer High School in 1941 and attended Oklahoma Womens College (now University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma) in Chickasha for two years.

She married Ival Hardy May 26, 1966, at Wichita Falls, Texas.

He died Jan. 27, 1994. She and her husband owned Hardy Grain Company in Roff, retiring in 1987.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of Fitzhugh Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Taylor; a grandson, Hagen; and a great-grandson, Cameron.

Survivors include three daughters, Carole Byrd andhusband Ken, Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Carla Harris and husband Daniel, Ada, and Lawanna Johnson and husband Jack, Tuttle; two sons, Kenny Hardy and wife Janice, Tuttle and Windle Hardy and wife Carolyn, Tuttle; one sister, Donna Hites and husband Bill, Ft. Worth, Texas; a sister-in-law, Jackie Taylor, Tuttle; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bearers are Bob Byrd, Dub Tolliver, Wendell Sherrell, Charles Morrow, Tommy Eaton and Jack Wofford. Honorary bearers will be Paul Shahan and Thurman Stephens. Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
